It depends on your insurance, but most people have at least a small amount to cover osteopathy. We do not file with insurance, but we will provide you with all of the paperwork that you need to pass onto your insurance.

Osteopathy is a holistic approach to wellbeing that truly caters to everyone. It views the body as an interconnected whole, recognizing that every individual—regardless of age, lifestyle, or background—can benefit from a treatment that focuses on restoring balance and promoting natural healing.  Whether you're an athlete striving for peak performance, a busy professional managing the stresses of daily life, or a senior seeking improved mobility, osteopathy offers gentle, hands-on techniques to alleviate discomfort and enhance overall health. Embracing both physical and emotional aspects of well-being, osteopathy is a versatile therapy designed to support each person on their unique journey to optimal health.

You should wear something comfortable or sports clothes such as leggings, shorts, stretchy/yoga pants, sweatpants, sports bra, tank top, loose t-shirt, etc.

No jeans, belt or big jewlery allowed as it can be restrictive.

The initial assessment is 60 minutes. It includes a period of questions about your concerns and general health, followed by passive and active tests, and the treatment portion.

Every follow-up manual treatment is 60 minutes to ensure a thorough reassessment of your progress, allowing for personalized adjustments and a comprehensive, holistic approach that targets both symptoms and their underlying causes.

You will be given advice and/or stretches/exercises at the end of the treatment, as well as some time to answer any questions you may have.

Osteopathy is all about giving mobility where your body needs it.  Osteopathy views the body as an integrated whole. An osteopath considers how the musculoskeletal system, internal organs, and cranial tensions; whereas most other therapies don't have the visceral treatment or cranial therapy aspects.

Physiotherapy often centers on rehabilitation through targeted exercises, movement training, and modalities (like heat, ice, or electrical stimulation). T heir approach is frequently geared toward restoring function after injury, surgery, or due to chronic conditions.

Massage Therapy focuses on manipulating soft tissues (muscles, fascia) to relieve tension, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. It’s primarily concerned with the immediate relief of muscle tightness and improvement of blood flow rather than systemic structural balance.

Chiropractic is a healthcare practice that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neuromuscular disorders, primarily through manual adjustment of the spine and other joints.

I am a BlueCross provider. However, I need a pre-authorisation form signed by your doctor so I can call VAC and make sure you are covered for this therapy. Once this is done, all you have to do is come to your appointment. Note that BlueCross reimburses 100% of the service fees.
